In 1910, Jacob Turtletaub and his wife, Rosalie, lived on the upper floors of this building, above J. Turtletaub & Co. B. Mendelsohn’s clothing and dry goods store later occupied the building, and Mendelsohn’s name remains in the tiled entryway.
